MEGALONG RANCH GUESTHOUSE

At night you can dine at Blackheath restaurants. There are a number of award winning restaurants nearby at Blackheath  just 12 minutes from the Valley or at our sister venue Ambermere Rose Inn which is a historic Cobb & Co Inn.

 

For lunch groups we have the licensed Outback Steakhouse, built like an authentic outback "Pub" with its huge bush bar or the Farmhouse Bistro.

Or sit around the campfire and have an Aussie Bush BBQ lunch- a platter of  tender steak, lamb, chicken,  potatoes, garden fresh salad,  crusty bread. 

And when it comes to sleeping....

and bunk beds, ensuited with shower and toilet,

  What to expect at our Country Escape

What to expect.  A venue set a side from the others with plenty of space and the ability to take in the wilderness of the Blue Mountains   Put away your phone and computers, take a deep breath and take time out  to enjoy. 

Why would you stay with us... The Lcation.  Being able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the run of the mill venues.

Why are we different?    We are in a wilderness area in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park.  Our venue is relaxed and down to earth, there is a lot to wander over and take in the environment.  Get your camera in focus and look for the opportunities that abound.  The horses, the wildlife, the flora and fauna.

Room Service.  We are strictly a Bed and Breakfast Venue.  There are plenty of eating options at Blackheath or we can organise a catering pack for you to eat in house or  indulge yourself in our Country Inn Package.

What don't we have.  No spas, no massages, no TV,  no room service, no baby sitting, no inhouse phones

Please note:
This is a lodge and not a hotel. and we specialise in wilderness riding experiences.  Due to the nature of the place and location, things do not always go to plan. You need to come here leaving your normal life, in a normal environment behind you! The environment is unpredictable  and when staying in the wilderness, don’t forget warm clothing in cooler weather .  The temperature can easily drop in winter. We have frosts but not snow!   Insect repellent is always advisable, as is sunscreen  when outside.

We do have a  weak point. As we are  multifunctional, we sometimes get swamped at certain times of the day at check in. everyone seems to come at the one time, riders come in off their rides, new riders for their rooms and their rides and people want to get a cold beer or soda.

We don't intentionally organise this to be at this time of the day, so please be patient, we want you to enjoy your stay. Its worth it.
